Well, I don't have any pictures. Or rather, I don't feel like uploading my pictures, so that will have to wait for another uber-exciting post. This one will just be ho-hum. Here is what has been going on with each of us lately.
Jason has been working, and working, and working. Poor guy! He hasn't been able to do anything really fun for a long time. We are just grateful he has a job and that we can save money for the slow times. He is still loving his Young Men calling. They do lots of cool things, like slack lining. It looked fun, and I wish I could have done it! He is also very into cooking meals for others. And when I say cooking meals, I mean ME cooking meals, and him inviting people. I have been making treats every Sunday, and meals about every other Sunday. I made schwarmas this week. I know you are jealous!
Finley is still just a-growing! He has FIVE teeth now, which I must admit is weird. He grew the first four in pairs, so I haven't seen him with an uneven mouth before now. He is starting to stand up by himself. I think he will be walking WELL before his first birthday. He is getting to look more and more like Jason. EVERYBODY says he looks just like Jason. He is also in to monster noises and snorting right now. It is pretty hilarious to hear him growling all the time.
I am doing nothing of great interest. Well, actually, I did help Preston pick out his engagement ring this week. It was so much fun! And it is SOOOOOO gorgeous! I am jealous, I will admit it! It also makes me want a new ring. Which I don't need. (Repeated until I believe it.) And today I got a new waffle iron, a sil pat, and some cutlery organizers that I am way too excited about. Sometimes I think I am just a little bit too weird. I keep opening my drawers to look at those organizers.
And to end, a somewhat embarrassing story. Preston calls. He wants to come hang out. Sure, why not? So I am feeding Finn and getting him ready for bed. I am changing his diaper, and have just rolled up the old one and not put the new one on yet, when somebody knocks on the door. I run to open the door, turn around without looking and say "You have HORRIBLE timing!" Well, it was my landlord, and he looked pretty freaked out. He just kept saying "I'm so sorry" and I was embarrassed. It was awkward all around. He laughed about it later, but he was freaked out for a while, there. Oh well, c'est la vie!

A New Post, But Quick-like!
I am sad that I haven't posted in a while, so I am updating. It has been nuts around here, but in a good way! My whole family came up for Christmas, which was fun, and will get some more attention later. My Mom and brother Preston are still here. Preston is moving to Provo, and we are so happy about it! My mom is just staying until Jan 9th, to help out me and Preston get settled in our new roles.
I also got to see my aunt Emily for an afternoon, which was so much fun! She is pregnant with twins, and is getting so big! She also took some pictures of Finn, which I cannot wait to see! (And Emily, if you are reading this, I also want all the bad photos. And you don't have to edit them.)
And to end, some new pictures of Finn. He is getting much more chunky, which is weird, but also fun. It's strange to think that he is still smaller than most people's babies when they are born. I can't imagine having to give birth to a baby that big! But I guess I will get a chance to later. Hopefully not.
Grandpa and Finn taking a snooze together!
Grandma and Finn. She is loving this!
Daddy and Finn. Finn loves to sprawl out. How he can sleep like that, I have no idea.
Mommy and Finn. This has to be one of my favorites. He was sleeping with his hand up like that.
Finn is getting a little chunkier, huh? And he looks so much like his dad!
I love this picture of Finn! He is such a sweetheart! He has a huge mouth, huh? I think he might get it from his mom. Poor guy! :)

When did blogging become a chore?
So, I don't know when it happened. I used to be always planning blog posts in my head and getting super excited about them. Now, I don't even think about it. Ever. And I keep telling myself: Geez, you should post at least once a week! But no, I can't even manage that. It's sad. So sad. But, to be fair, I have had a cold for the last week, so I haven't been up for anything at all.
Here's the news:
Preston got accepted into BYU, so he will be living here in Provo in January!! I am really excited to have him nearby!
I am now at 16 weeks. I have my ultrasound on August 10th, so I am really REALLY looking forward to that. Still haven't had any morning sickness. I don't think it will be showing up at all now, guys. Sorry that I got the good genes! (Well, okay, I'm not really sorry. But I am sorry for all of you!!) Sleeping is going better. Well, except for the fact that...
Our air conditioning isn't on. It's miserable!!! It's got to be at least 80 in here all the time, and all of our windows are stuck shut. Plus the heater was on until June, which doesn't help things much. I keep asking Jason to talk to the landlord about it, but he's hardly home, so I don't think he thinks about it much. I have been roasting, though. Ugh. I hate being hot.
I am a mostly-widow for July and part of August. July is a very busy month for scouts, so Jason has his hands full. He works Mon-Tues and then has scouting stuff Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Saturday. I get to see him on Sunday. And this week he had to leave for work on Sunday. Yuck. At least he is having fun on the campouts and canoe trips and hikes. He'd better be, anyway!
